“Brad was responsive, kind, fast and affordable! Locked myself and the kids outside the house and he came for the rescue as quick as he could and in 30s had my door unlocked. Forget the others. Call Brad. He’s the man!”

FAQs for Locksmiths in Leesburg, VA
Can a locksmith make a car key without the original?
Yes, there are multiple ways of making a car key. We can either generate a key with various tools or like a dealer, using the VIN number via code.
Can a locksmith make a lock from a key?
No, but if you have a key & then purchase a doorknob and deadbolt, we could make the lock match that key.
Can a locksmith open a house door?
Yes, there are multiple ways to bypass most locks and open a house door. Not all locks can be picked, but usually about 98% of locks can be picked using various different tools, in order to let people in.
Can a locksmith open a trunk?
Yes, we’re able to open the trunk of a car. Locking the keys in the trunk, however, can be a bit more involved (and potentially more expensive) than just locking them in the driver’s seat. Often, when the keys are inside the car, the trunk remote won’t work. Since most car seats don’t fold down with access to the trunk, we usually end up picking the lock to the trunk itself.
Can locksmiths unlock deadbolts?
Yes, same as with a doorknob, there are multiple different ways to open deadbolts.
Can you get keys made for old locks?
Yes, we would first have to take the lock apart and either cut a key to that bitting or re-key it and make a brand new key. At Quality Lock, we don’t handle skeleton keys, but we can refer you to someone else.
Do you have to pay a locksmith upfront?
Yes. Depending on the distance and time of night, we will have customers pay by card over the phone, to minimize any hassle onsite.
How long does it take a locksmith to open a door?
Most of the time, it takes less than five minutes. For houses, it all depends on the types of locks and bitting they have. Oftentimes, you can have the same exact lock, but with different bitting, so the process can take longer. On vehicles, different locks or tight door frames can also make them tougher to unlock.
How long does it take a locksmith to show up?
Depending on availability, it can be as little as 15 minutes, and up to a few hours, if we’re out on a larger commercial job.
How long does it take for a locksmith to rekey a lock?
For a typical house with two locks, it should take less than half an hour.
How much does a locksmith charge to open a safe?
There are many variables when it comes to unlocking a safe. At Quality Lock, we ask our customers to send us a picture of the safe, and then we provide a quote.
